Ein außergewöhnlicher Kinoabend erwartet euch: Bei „Die Pinke Leinwand“ tauchen wir im Sputnik ein in das schillernde urbane Nachtleben Japans – mit Neonlichtern, Bars, Bühnen und Musik bis in die Morgenstunden.

Welche Filme gezeigt werden, bleibt bis zum Start eine Überraschung. Fest steht nur: Ein Langfilm aus den 1980er Jahren trifft auf einen Vorfilm aus den 1960ern. Beide bewegen sich zwischen Sexfilm und Musical und eröffnen einen spannenden Blick auf das japanische Pinku eiga-Kino.

Das Programm entstand in Kooperation mit einem Seminar der Universität Paderborn. Zum Auftakt geben die Studierenden eine kurze Einführung in den filmhistorischen Hintergrund. Im Anschluss an die Vorführung sind alle herzlich eingeladen, bei einem offenen Gespräch über die Filme mitzudiskutieren.

Join us for an extraordinary evening at the movies! At “The Pink Screen”, we will dive into Japan’s dazzling urban nightlife at the Sputnik—filled with neon lights, bars, stages, and music that lasts until dawn.

The films themselves will remain a surprise until the screening begins. Here’s all we’ll reveal: a feature film from the 1980s meets a short film from the 1960s. Both move between sex film and musical, offering a fascinating glimpse into the world of Japanese Pinku eiga cinema.

The program was developed in cooperation with a seminar at Paderborn University. The evening begins with a short introduction by the students, who will provide some historical context on the films. After the screening, everyone is warmly invited to stay for an open discussion about what we’ve seen.
