Pornografie ist tabu: Als Filmgenre, als Medium, als Ausdruck von sexuellen Fantasien und als Kulturpraxis. Ihre Geschichte wird unterdrückt, ihre Gegenwart verteufelt, und jegliche Konfrontation mit ihr zur Privatsache erklärt. Der von Studierenden und Forschenden der Universität Paderborn gegründete Verein PaderPorn e.V. möchte daher zur Rehabilitierung von pornografischen Film- und Videokulturen beitragen. Dazu werden historische und aktuelle Produktionen aus aller Welt an wechselnden Orten in Paderborn für ein erwachsenes Publikum erlebbar gemacht und kritisch diskutiert. Ziele sind eine Neubewertung sinnlicher Filmerfahrungen und ein offener Austausch, der u.a. queere, diverse, feministische, aber auch heteronormative Zugänge mit einschließt und somit einen sexpositiven Gegenpol zu Allgemeinplätzen und bevormundender Pädagogik bildet.

Pornography is a taboo: As a film genre, as a medium, as an expression of sexual fantasies, and as a cultural practice. Its history is suppressed, its present demonized, and any confrontation with it declared a private matter. PaderPorn e.V., an association founded by students and researchers of Paderborn University therefore strive to facilitate the rehabilitation of pornographic film and video cultures. To this end, historical and current productions from all over the world are made visible and tangible for an adult audience at changing locations in Paderborn. All screenings are framed by an introduction and a critical discussion. Our goals are a re-evaluation of sensual film experiences as well as an open exchange, which includes – among others – queer, diverse, feminist, but also heteronormative perspectives, and thus forms a sex-positive antidote to stereotypes and pedagogic paternalism.
