Zachary Strong und Curt McDowell ging es mit diesem Episodenfilm aber um wesentlich mehr als um einen Realitäts-Kink: Sie verschränken ihre sechs Vignetten mit engagierten Interviews, die aus den Performer:innen Fantasien, Praktiken und kleine Geschichten herausbringen. Diese werden dann als sechs distinktive Kurzfilme umgesetzt. Was als Teil des damals populären 'Pärchen'-Genres mit heterosexuellen Parametern vermarktet wurde, erhält unter dem Einfluss des Underground-Künstlers McDowell eine unverblümt queere Ästhetik und einen ansteckenden Sinn für Spiel, Spaß und Abenteuer.

It's a well-known trope these days: real people, not professionals, stand in front of the camera, tell something about themselves and have sex. But filmmakers Zachary Strong and Curt McDowell were concerned with much more than a reality kink with this anthology film: They intertwine their six vignettes with engaging interviews that bring out fantasies, practices, and little stories from the performers. These are then realized as six distinctive short films. What was marketed as part of the then-popular 'couples' genre with heterosexual parameters takes on an unabashedly queer aesthetic and an infectious sense of play, fun and adventure under the influence of underground avant-gardist McDowell.
