Am 29.03.2023 kehren wir nicht nur ins Black Sheep zurück, sondern auch zu Fred Halsted, dem wir im Mai 2022 bereits einen unvergesslichen Abend gewidmet haben. Gemeinsam wollen wir seinen Film SEXTOOL (1975) erleben und anschließend in eine Diskussion dazu übergehen.
In einem der ambitioniertesten queeren Pornofilme schreibt Halsted einerseits die radikale Kristallisierung einer schwulen BDSM-Gegenkultur fort, eröffnet andererseits aber auch eine zu dieser Zeit unübliche Bühne für Transpersonen, welche die Fantasien des Films strukturieren und Teil seines politischen Spannungsfeldes werden.
Eröffnet wird der Abend mit einem Überraschungsfilm. Ein großes Danke geht jetzt schon raus an das Black Sheep dafür, dass sie uns erneut nicht nur ihre Räumlichkeiten, sondern auch ihr Vertrauen überlassen, und an den AstA Paderborn für die finanzielle Unterstützung, ohne die der Abend gar nicht stattfinden könnte. After dropping a hint and a little teaser last week, we are now excited to share the big announcement: On March 29th we will not only return to the Black Sheep, but also revisit artist and director Fred Halsted, to whom we already dedicated an evening back in May 2022. Together, we want to experience his film SEXTOOL (1975) as well as go into a discussion about the movie.
In one of the most ambitious queer porn films, Halsted on the one hand continues the unapologetic crystallization of a gay BDSM counterculture, but on the other hand also opens a stage for trans people, who structure the fantasies of the film and become part of its political tension.
As an opening for the night, we will be screening a surprise movie, for which you’ll have to remain patient until March 29th.
